Compact, high-power RF for platforms where power is the constraint.
For more than twenty years we have built compact, high-power RF systems and sub-systems for commercial, aerospace and government customers who need very high efficiency on mobile and remote platforms: the places where battery drain and power distribution decide what is possible.
Our designs are based on CW operation, tailored for pulse operation and radar waveforms of varying duty cycle: zero droop, fast rise times, non-existent ringing, and a highly linear response. Airborne communications, remote sensing in difficult environments, and synthetic aperture radar are the applications we serve most, and we count ourselves dominant players in those markets. Peak powers as high as 350 kW have been produced and installed for major government customers across a wide range of platforms.

Four things we refuse to stop pushing on.
These are not aspirations. They are the numbers we are measured against by customers who put our hardware somewhere they cannot easily get back to.
Already >70% DC to RF. Not enough.
60% AC to RF, and the goal is higher still, especially for mobile and remote users. Lightweight operation, miniaturized assemblies and efficiency are what make a product easy to deploy, handle and operate.
Third-order IMD as low as −91 dBc
Electromagnetic environments keep getting denser. Co-sited operations mean more emitters coupling RF between closely spaced antennas. Design integrity and linearity are what keep unwanted intermodulation out of everyone's spectrum.
A history of low failure rates, often zero
That record is why customers stay as enthusiastic about our products for the future as they have been in the past. We keep a wall of awards, and we are dedicated to lengthening it.
Rapid adoption of new components and methods
New devices, new design approaches, new assembly methods, adopted quickly wherever they raise performance without costing us reliability. Our manufacturing techniques give a substantial cost advantage over traditional approaches, especially in extreme environments.
The fastest specified rise and fall times
Timings below a nanosecond, with a noise floor approaching Boltzmann. Our proprietary linearizing system is what lets us produce amplifiers that are more linear and more efficient at the same time.
Customer intimacy, deliberately
Our business model is to work very closely with each customer, provide rapid and relevant support, and partner for their goals. Combined with the technology and the most competitive price we can hold, that is the whole strategy.
Garage to 350 kW.
Founded in a private garage in Corona, California
Humble beginnings, cramped conditions, and a determination to stop accepting the compromises the industry had settled for.
A 10 kW radar transmitter
The build that established the company. The team came together fast, and the garage stopped being big enough.
RIGEL delivered for the Peace-Link program
Modular amplifier equipment for the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense. Operational 24 hours a day since delivery, with no field returns.
Moved to Riverside and into volume manufacturing
Supplying the U.S. Government and military, scientific entities, aerospace companies, universities, research organizations and large corporations. The niche found us: high-power RF from 0.01 to 2.0 GHz.
Purchased the current building
12,500 sq ft of workspace plus 20,000 sq ft of secured parking and a dock bay for heavy loads, roughly a quarter mile from Riverside Municipal Airport (KRAL).
Patented features, and a modular architecture customers build on
Couplers with dual use for vector feedback systems, extreme-isolation solid-state switches that cut system architecture complexity, ultra-linear wideband systems, and efficient control for pulse systems.
GhostLink and CryoShield
The same technology base, positioned for what comes next: filterless amplification, nanosecond waveform behavior, and thermal management that lets multi-kilowatt RF and edge compute fit where they previously could not.
Come look at it yourself.
Quality control policy and organization documents are available on request. Customers are welcome to visit Riverside by arrangement and inspect any aspect of the operation, including the automated assembly process and the automated burn-in facilities.
Export control
Many Delta-Sigma products are subject to United States export control under ITAR or the EAR. International inquiries should include end user, end use and destination so we can tell you early what is required and what is possible.
Products are one of seven things we deliver.
Delta-Sigma provides products, programs, program management, research, services, support and facilities. We are a customer-focused organization for professional services as much as for products, and we support hardware in the field as and when required, anywhere it went.
In the unlikely event of a field failure, be assured that we provide outstanding service for any emergency, including sending our engineers to the site, wherever the site is.
